Homemade Healthy Granola, Sugar Free!
This granola is super easy to make and will give you a great boost of energy to start off your busy day. I’m obsessed with making granola, and quite frankly you can put whatever you like in it. The beauty of making your own granola, is you KNOW what goes into it and if you change and swap ingredients it’s never the same!
This recipe was invented to give a healthy start to the day, save money and time. Store bought granola is usually packed with unwanted sugar and is super expensive! So, from my kitchen to yours, this one is simple, you can store it and it tastes amazing. I’ve used Oats, nuts, pepitas, organic coconut shavings, cranberries and homemade almond flour today but remember you can use anything ( within a healthy guideline ;)) to switch it up and create a new flavour every time you make it! Try adding some pecans, raisins, goji berries, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds or cinnamon…
Preparation time: Under 20 minutes..
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of rolled oats
- 1 cup of homemade almond flour (raw almonds blended)
- 1 large handful of shredded organic coconut
- 1 large handful of pepitas
- 1 cup of raw nut mix (walnuts, cashews, almonds)
- 1 large handful of dried cranberries
- ⅓ cup of coconut oil
- ⅓ cup honey
Combine all your ingredients (except the cranberries) and bake for 15 minutes on 200 degrees (you can use the grill if you want to make it extra crunchy, but you may only need 10 minutes then! Add the cranberries once the granola has cooled, store in an airtight container and serve with natural yoghurt, almond milk, normal milk – whatever you prefer! You can even add some fresh fruit, or a banana to keep you full until lunch time!
