The best time of the day to do this kind of exercise is first thing in the morning before breakfast to kickstart your metabolism for the day. The whole point is to give is everything you’ve got for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds, for a total of 4 minutes. Tabata training will raise your metabolism and heart rate immediately which will have a knock-on effect and you’ll be burning fat for hours after the training!
